Well, this month was totally unfruitful.
Two weeks in-camp training that mostly comprised of rushing to wait, followed by waiting to rush. Only saving grace was getting the opportunity to fire the SAR 21- it certainly is a more accurate weapon compared to the M16 but loads heavy than my old carbine.
And thanks to a couple of mates in camp who pushed me ceaselessly, I cleared my 2.4 km run in 12 mins 20 secs. Might not seem much but dang, I think lost a year of my life in that final 400 metres.
Now I am down with one nasty bug.. fever that refuses to stay down, a nagging cough that echoes up around my sternum. I think this is a little gift from one of my children at church :)
