EBS - customer service and marketing (diner dash)
 - NT students may find teacher-centered learning boring
 - all students have short attention span

Games have a kinesthetic elements
example of lesson plan using games:
trigger - 5 mins: how do we start a restaurant: wordsplash
intro - 10 mins marketing activities: graphic organizer
games - 10 mins of games, then pull them back together to discuss what they just did
quiz - 15 mins

(a lot of movement, changes to keep them interested)

Rules of the Game for successful learning experience
- leverage on existing templates
- customize and build games on purpose built software
- unpack and follow up on every teaching moment and key learning point to ensure that you get more mileage out of the game experience
- recap key learning points
- evaluate and gather feedback to tweak future use

Games as indirect instruction.

Virtual Field trips

Have students develop their own games / input content for games
 - teach others / immediate use of learning (learning retention 90%, as opposed to lecture 5%!)

- found sharing to be too superficial, trying to compress too much info into 50 mins.
